The obverse shows the helmeted city coat of arms of Cologne flanked by a griffin and a lion, surrounded by the legend MO·NO·A-RG-CI-V· COLON 15-69. The reverse depicts the imperial double-headed eagle with the imperial orb at its centre, encircled by the legend ·MAXIMILIA·II· IMP-AVG·P·F·DECRETO·. Weight: 26.8 g.
