The lower leg and feet fragment of a mummiform shabti made from bright, deep blue-glazed faience, dating to the Twenty-first Dynasty (c. 1069–950 BC). The fragment preserves the lower section of a single vertical column of hieroglyphs painted in black line, which provide the titles and name of Nespaneferher. This piece belongs to a distinctive set of large-scale shabtis produced for Nespaneferher, a high-ranking official who also held the titles of Chief of the Scribes of the Temple of Amun, Prophet, and Overseer of the Recruits of Amun. Complete examples from this workshop are preserved in the Manchester Museum (MM10587) and the British Museum (EA36257 and EA66715), while five other lower leg fragments from the same group form part of the Egypt Centre collection (W5034–W5036, W5038–W5039).
