Build your listing
Add your logo, what you do, your service area, phone and email. Confirm your phone with a one-time code.
Go live
Pay $5 a month by card. After a quick review of your first listing, you appear in the apps and on the web.

- The Spool List app for iOS and Android — “Services near you” on Discover, the map's Services layer, and the Services directory.
- The web app at app.thespoollist.com — the same places.
- Your own page on thespoollist.com, which search engines can index and link to.

Services you can list
Licensed trades (licence number required and shown): Plumbing, Electrical, Heating & air conditioning, General contracting, Roofing, Pest control, Locksmith, Architecture, Engineering.
Not allowed: firearms and weapons, defence work, medical, legal, financial and immigration services, gambling, cannabis and tobacco, adult services, or anything illegal where it is offered.

How much does it cost?
$5 USD per listing per month, billed monthly to your card through Stripe. There is no commission, no per-lead fee and no contract.
Where will my listing appear?
In The Spool List apps for iOS and Android and in the web app — in “Services near you” on Discover, on the Fabrication Grid map and in the Services directory — plus a public page for your business on thespoollist.com.
Who sees my listing?
People whose location falls inside the service area you set: a radius around your base, or your city. Both buyers and makers on The Spool List can find you.
What kinds of services can I list?
Local services that help people get things made, finished, installed, fixed or delivered — painting and finishing, signage install, design and CAD, product photography, welding, electronics repair, garden services, cleaning, moving and more. Licensed trades such as plumbing and electrical work can list with a valid licence number, which is shown on the listing.
What can't be listed?
Firearms and weapons, defence work, medical, legal, financial and immigration services, gambling, cannabis and tobacco, adult services, and anything illegal where it is offered.
How do customers contact me?
They tap to see your phone number or email and contact you directly. The Spool List does not take bookings or handle payment for services — you agree the work and the price with your customer.
Can I pause or cancel?
Yes. Switch any listing off or back on from your dashboard whenever you like, and cancel online at any time. A cancelled listing stays live until the end of the month you've paid for.
What stats do I get?
Impressions, listing views, calls, emails, website visits and directions taps, day by day, with a monthly summary by email.
Do I need to download the app?
No. You create and manage listings, see your stats and handle billing at ads.thespoollist.com with your own username and password.
Is my listing checked before it goes live?
Your first listing is reviewed by our team, and your phone number is confirmed with a one-time code. We don't vet the quality of anyone's work, so listings are clearly marked as paid.
