Which rings can the class see in Tridemorph? The answer is one 6-membered ring, joined up by 60 bonds altogether (all of them single). Give each pair of students the model and a blank sheet: recording every engraved symbol should lead them to 19 C + 39 H + 1 N + 1 O, which is 60 atoms. Name-and-locate exercise: students touch the ether linkage (C-O-C) and the tertiary amino group (-NR2) and afterwards write the name of every group they touched.
