Not every motorcycle needs a big engine to make a lasting impression. The 2003 Honda Solo 50 takes a radically different approach: featherlight weight, simple mechanics, and a design straight out of another era. Powered by an air-cooled, 50cc, four-stroke single-cylinder engine—derived from Honda’s famous Super Cub family—the Solo was designed more as a stylish leisure bike than a high-performance machine. Its power output was modest (around 3.5 hp at 7,500 rpm and 3.8 Nm at 6,000 rpm), but thanks to a remarkably low claimed weight of 77 kg, this little Honda charmed riders with its unique simplicity.
