# Keep It for Mac Introduction
You add material by dragging it onto the window, using the share extension or the Services menu, or by creating a note, rich text file, plain text file, or Markdown file in the app. Web pages can be kept as links, PDFs, or web archives, including a stripped Reader view for offline reading. Mail messages and their attachments can be dropped in, routed with a Mail rule, or sent through the downloadable Automator workflow. Stationery covers repeated document shapes. Scans, photos, and other files sit in the same library: PDFs can be edited, images rotated, and movies played, while everything else previews through Quick Look.
