Warfarin (C19H16O4, CAS 81-81-2) — a free educational 3D molecular model for teachers and students, by MolGod.org. Instead of colour coding, every sphere carries its engraved element symbol.
Look at the skeleton first: Warfarin contains three 6-membered rings, with one pair of rings fused along a shared edge, two of them aromatic, and students can trace 41 bonds (27 single, 3 double and 11 aromatic, drawn in Kekulé form). Counting task: 19 C + 16 H + 4 O gives 39 engraved spheres; can the class rebuild the formula C19H16O4 from the model alone? On the printed model, students can point to the ketone group (C=O) and the phenolic hydroxyl group (Ar-OH).
