The Bramble Fiend - Halloween monster

The Bramble Fiend, known to scholars as *Cachinnavora Nocturna* ("the laughing devourer of the night"), is a legendary creature said to haunt the remote Black Fen Expanse, a mist-covered wilderness far from settled lands. Described as a six-limbed, eyeless beast with a vast grin packed with overlapping rows of razor teeth, the Bramble Fiend is believed to emerge during moonless nights. According to local folklore, travellers who hear distant laughter in the fog are already being stalked. Witnesses claim its stretched black hide conceals human-like faces trapped beneath the flesh, while bone spines and twisted antlers rise from its back. Unlike ordinary predators, the Bramble Fiend is said to feed on fear before consuming its prey. Though no evidence has ever confirmed its existence, many remote communities still leave lanterns burning through the night, believing the creature fears bright, unwavering light.
