My submission for VRChat's Spookality Avatar Jam 2026. The theme for this year was "Survive," which one of the first ideas I had ended up being someone who would gear themselves up to take on the monsters directly.
Being a school kid geared up in Hockey equipment, he ended up looking pretty close to some similar characters from an existing IP, but I decided to stick to it.
One of the other requirements for this Jam was also to make sure they were Quest-optimized. Which meant I was limited to 15k triangles for this model. I ended up reaching well below that target, and really happy with the result there.
This model also features two masks. One that was the original concept I had in mind while the other is what I ended up modeling first and fit the model style better.
