The Spool List is a community of makers, builders, designers, and creators. These guidelines keep the platform safe for everyone. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.
1. What belongs here
The Spool List is for physical fabrication services: 3D printing, laser cutting and engraving, CNC routing, embroidery, resin printing, and similar manufacturing processes. Custom fabricated items, prototypes, and sharing your work through live streaming all belong here.
2. Illegal items
Do not post jobs for, or produce, anything illegal. This includes:
- Controlled substances or items used to produce them
- Counterfeit currency, identification documents, or credentials
- Devices designed to intercept communications illegally
- Anything prohibited by applicable export control law
3. Weapons and dangerous items
Do not post jobs for or produce:
- Firearms or functional firearm components (including printed receivers or frames)
- Suppressors or silencers
- Illegal knives or bladed weapons under applicable law
- Devices designed to cause harm
Costume props and replicas are permitted if clearly non-functional, unable to be made functional, and legal in the relevant jurisdiction.
4. Intellectual property
Do not upload designs or files that infringe on the IP rights of others:
- Copyrighted characters without a license
- Counterfeit branded goods
- Stolen designs from other makers

5. Harassment and abuse
Do not harass, threaten, or demean anyone. No slurs, hate speech, discriminatory language, unwanted sexual advances, or explicit content. No doxxing.
6. Fraud and deception
Do not misrepresent your equipment, accept jobs you won't fulfill, circumvent escrow, create fake accounts or reviews, or impersonate other users or The Spool List staff.
7. Live streaming rules
Streams must show your fabrication work. The following are not permitted in streams:
- Content unrelated to the job or fabrication process
- Nudity or sexually explicit content
- Violence, gore, or graphic content
- Hate speech or harassment
- Promotion of illegal activity
- Background audio or video that infringes copyright
8. Files and designs
All files are virus-scanned before delivery. Do not upload malware, files you don't have rights to share, or ITAR-controlled technical data without authorization.
9. Reviews and feedback
Reviews must be honest and based on your actual experience. No fake reviews, review incentives, or using reviews to harass others.
10. Reporting
Use the Report button on any stream, profile, or message thread. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Urgent issues: [email protected]
11. Enforcement
We may remove content, issue warnings, suspend accounts temporarily, permanently ban accounts, withhold payouts, or report conduct to law enforcement depending on severity.
