EMBER · PHOTO TO 3D CONCEPT

Photo in. Print out.

Turn any photo into a printable 3D concept using Ember. Free preview. Post to a maker if you like it.

Before you start

Best results with 2 to 4 photos of the object from different angles. It's a concept — a starting point, not a finished, ready-to-print model. Use it to explore the shape, share it with a maker, or refine it further.

What Ember gives you

A starting point, not a scan.

Ember produces a concept mesh from photos. Good enough to hold in a viewer, share with a maker, or iterate on. Not a substitute for a proper 3D scanner.

🧩

Concept-quality, not scan-quality

Ember produces printable geometry from photos — a starting point you can share, iterate on, or hand to a maker. It is not a micron-perfect capture.

Checked for printability

Every mesh runs a printability check before you post it. If something looks like it'll cause trouble on a printer, you'll see the flag first.

📤

Post it to a maker in 2 taps

Buyers keep the concept or share it with a maker on the platform for real fabrication. The maker sees the mesh alongside your original photos.

FAQ

Questions we get.

How many photos do I need?

2 to 4 photos from different angles gets you the most usable concept. A single photo works but limits how much shape Ember can reconstruct.

Can I download the mesh?

Free plan gives you 1 concept every 30 days to try it out. Downloads (STL / OBJ) are included on every paid plan. You can always share the concept with a maker on the platform without downloading.

How many concepts do I get per month?

Free: 1 concept every 30 days. Ember Pro ($4.99 + $10/mo): 10 concepts included per month, then $0.50 each or a 5-pack for $2.99. Ember Premium ($14.99/mo): unlimited (fair-use up to 100/month). Enterprise: unlimited for high-volume teams — contact us. Included concepts refresh on a rolling 30-day window.

Is this a proper 3D scan?

No. It's a concept from photos — a starting point, not a finished, ready-to-print model. For scans, use a real 3D scanner.

What files does it output?

GLB, OBJ, and STL. GLB is best for sharing and viewers; STL is what most slicers still expect.
